Our story
CVision AI started over a beer, when its founder, Ben, was talking to his marine biologist friend about the woes of watching hours of video recordings of fish. “I can help with that,” Ben claimed. His friend believed him, and with that, CVision AI was born.
Starting as a small AI consulting firm, we quickly found that the problems we faced were shared by much larger organizations. How can we share video data and annotate it collaboratively? How can we deploy the algorithms we develop so our customers can use them easily? The tools we needed for real, large-scale computer vision applications just didn't exist.
Soon we began developing Tator to solve these problems, followed closely by ShoreSight, a ruggedized video recording system with Tator integration. While we continue to improve these products, our focus remains on our customers and their unique needs, helping them get the most out of practical applications of computer vision.
